Michael Kleeman
Michael Kleeman is a strategist whose particular skill is in bridging technical and business issues. For over 45 years he has been involved globally in the technology and environmental/sustainability community in engineering, planning, management and advisory roles. He has also worked with a number of start-up firms and been an executive manager in both the consulting and technology industry. He has a unique mix of technology strategy, hands on implementation and business perspectives and has been a co-founder or CTO at numerous wireline/fiber and wireless firms.
He is currently a Senior Fellow at UCSD focusing on technology policy and technological and social factors of emergent environments and complex systems. He has served as an advisor to the Kent Ridge Digital Labs in Singapore and was a founding board member of Science Foundation Ireland and was a Senior Fellow at the Berkeley Roundtable on the International Economy (BRIE- UC Berkeley) and the Annenberg School of Communications at USC. He currently serves on the Business Board of Akagera Medicines, the Board of Bainbridge Prepares, and is the National Strategy Chair for the President, Humanitarian Services, of the American Red Cross.
