Our Story
The Foundation for the National Laboratory of the Rockies is dedicated to advancing an affordable and secure energy future by supporting the National Laboratory of the Rockies (NLR) in its mission of delivering advanced energy research and innovation. Established in 2021 as an independent 501(c)(3) nonprofit, the Foundation plays a vital role in expanding the impact of the NLR research and development portfolio alongside new partners. Through the aggregation and deployment of new capital sources, the Foundation serves as a force-multiplier for the NLR work, advancing innovation that supports the nation’s economic, energy, and national security interests.
